Cavity Wall Insulation

Cavity wall insulation is another great way of insulating your property to reduce heat loss. If your property was constructed from 1930 onwards it is likely to have a cavity between the two walls. Cavity wall insulation works by filling this void and creates a thermal barrier to prevent heat being lost through the walls.

In the past it has come in for some bad press mainly as it has been installed on properties that weren’t necessarily suitable for it. Before undertaking any cavity wall insulation install we always make sure to address the two major factors that could cause any issues, property condition and ventilation. We now only insulate with a polystyrene bead which is the latest, most efficient and by far the best method for retrofit.
