With the introduction of MEES (minimum energy efficiency standards) for rental properties 2018 for the first time all new tenancy agreements were subject to the property having a minimum EPC rating of E or above. Furthermore with an ever-growing emphasis on the cost of energy it looks that all new tenancy agreements from 2025 will require the property to hold a C rating or higher. Then by 2028 landlords will have to make sure that their properties with existing tenancies are also C rated or higher, failure to comply with this will carry a financial punishment. The figure which ministers are currently debating is going to be in the region of £30,000.

But there is a light at the end of the tunnel, Eco Bee Energy specialise in helping landlords increase the energy performance ratings of their properties. We can do this in multiple ways, one of the ways is we can utilise either ECO4 or Connected to Warmth funding, to look at things like replacement boilers, solar panels and insulation. As part of our service to landlords we will always carry out a pre EPC inspection and can discuss with you the potential EPC rating the property could achieve after we have completed any of the proposed works. We can also help and advise you on any other products that we may not necessarily offer but which would help to increase EPC rating.

We offer a hassle free service as we understand many landlords are incredibly busy. Simply use the apply now button at the top of the page, or give as a call for an initial consultation to discuss what options may be available for yourself.
